Meet Pixel!
Hello animal lovers! As a passionate pet photographer, I am always on the lookout for projects that celebrate the beauty of farm animals and pets in a fun and creative way. And let me tell you, this project is definitely one of my favourites and is very close to my heart!
For the past 6 years, my partner and I have been travelling around North America, visiting farms and capturing stunning portraits of farm families and their beloved animals. And for the last 3 years, our adorable little dog, Pixel, has been our faithful companion every step of the way. We load up our trusty camper onto the truck and hit the open road, ready for adventure and to capture the essence of each farm. We usually visit around 8-10 farms on each tour!
Pixel is the perfect travel buddy, making the long drives more enjoyable and keeping our spirits high on those days when the weather doesn't quite cooperate. We love nothing more than exploring new places and sharing our adventures with our furry best friend. At each farm, we create a special portrait of all the animals, including Pixel, and hide her somewhere in the image. It's become a delightful tradition that adds an extra layer of whimsy and playfulness to each portrait, and we love seeing people's reactions when they find her.
Each portrait tells a unique story, capturing the personalities of each animal and showcasing their natural beauty. And let me tell you, these farm animals are simply breathtaking! From majestic horses to curious goats and everything in between, they are all true works of art.
Through our photography, we are not only documenting the lives of farmers and their animals, but we are also creating a visual legacy that inspires future generations to appreciate the importance of agriculture and the bond between people and their pets. Our adventures with Pixel have truly enhanced our farm photo tours, and we are grateful to have her by our side as we explore the beauty of rural North America.
Our project is not only fun and engaging, but it also captures the simple joys of farm life and the special bond between humans and animals. One day, we plan to publish a book of farm animal portraits with Pixel hidden in each one, and we can't wait to share it with the world.
